Ok I did it.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif I just ordered my 05 3500 4WD-crewcab DRW D/A. One thing I did not understand was why all the DRW have 215/85R16E tires? But oh well there must be a good reason. I took all the advice that I read and I thought that this would be the right decision. Thanks for all the help out there.Edited by: Savvy up

Just out of curiosity do you have a TPW yet or did they give you any idea when you might take delivery on the truck.

Truck is great so far, I've only had it for less than a week so I'm still breaking it in. My old truck was a 2001 chevy 1/2 ton Z71 ext. cab. Everyone had been telling me how big this new truck was gonna be before I got it but I really don't think it is that bad. I use for my everyday driver and I can get around fine in it, it honestly doesn't seem that much bigger than my old truck. I also am really enjoying all the power especially compared to my old truck...I don't know if I'll ever drive a gasser again. I've heard of some changes for the 05's like a moon roof option, they changed the marine blue to a darker blue and some other minor changes, do you know if they made any changes to body styling for the 05's, I've heard they will be making big changes on the 06's but it'll still have the same engine so thats all that really matters.

Well I don’t think the body style has changed but I don’t know to they release more info on it. I know the got rid of the vinyl seats for the base models http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif that made me mad but oh well. Wow you heard that the 06’s are going to have a big body style change… hemm I wonder what they will look like. Oh I had a hard time choosing the transmission for this truck sense they will now offer the LLY with a 6-speed manual to now. I ordered the Allison but wanted to know what the best transmission would be for heavy towing capabilities? Allison vs. ZF6-speed… who will it be. What do you think?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

If they put Allisons in the Abrams M1A1 Tank. It's good enough for me.

The M1 is equipped with an AGT 1500 gas turbine engine from Lycoming Textron. The Allison Transmission, X-1100-3B, provides four forward and two reverse gears.
