: Does Fuel filter hold pressure?

I have been getting the P1093 codes whenever I use my Edge ez module, even on level 1. Up until now I have just carried my scanner to clear the code without stopping, but it keeps tripping until I pull over and pump up the primer which always feels soft at first. I have opened the bleeder and let small amounts of air out, just a few bubbles at most.

Tonight I pumped it up in the driveway and about 10 minutes later checked the firmness of the primer button and it was mushy again and took about 5-7 pumps. Is the filter primer pump button supposed to remain firm or is it normal to be able to pump it several times?

I have changed the fuel filter but the problem seems to occur whenever I have the edge module connected.

I am guessing the shim mod at this point but need to do the bottle test to be sure.

I can pump mine several times. If you dont have a lift pump than you dont have pressure.

But isn't the fuel pump positioned before the filter? I thought it looked like the fuel line comes into the module at the front of the engine on the passenger side, then to the filter, then to the fuel rail on the passenger side, crossing over to the drivers side fuel rail and out the FPRV tube.

If this is the case wouldn't the Bosh pump give some pressure to the system?

I dont think so. I pulled vacuum on mu stock system.

It shouldn't hold pressure. If it did, then when you change your filter it would spray all over the place. The fuel pump pressures up the system when you start it.

Now why didn't I think of that? Of course it would bleed off when the pump is not running...

Stupid, Stupid, Ahhhhghhghhg!

Thanks for the reply, I thought I had a pressure leak somewhere and was starving the engine. The Shim mod fixed the codes... now I just have to reconnect my aux tank.
