So, I can get my hands on a Duramax exhaust for free. Sitting in my Dad's backyard when he swapped his over. Only been there a couple of months.


I'm not sure about the length though. From what I can see, from the flange to the end of the exhaust is about 10 feet. From the flange on my truck, back 10 feet is the middle of the tire. Is there a length issue?


And, I gather, to make this work right, I need a 2 1/2 inch crossover and a 3 to 3 1/2 downpipe. Am I missing anything?

how easy does the duramax exhaust bolt up to the stock 6.5 downpipe? my body has a xcab long bed dmax and he just took it off. mine is a xcab shorty though.

Don't know yet. Talked to one shop in town and he bascialy said to bring everything in and he'll figure something out.


Can't do much until I sell my old truck though.
