RFA 1 Low Battery / How to reset?

Did a search & found out what the RFA 1 is but no where could I find how to reset. I replaced the remote with a new battery to no avail. The remote works fine but DIC states that it is still low. In the Chevy manual it states to "press the select button". It clears it immediately but the next time you start the truck up, the RFA 1 Low Battery is back. Anybody know how to clear this permanently?

Does anybody think that if I disconnected the batteries, it might clear the "RFA 1 Battery Low" message?

Pressing the select button should clear the message, however, if it re-appears, the transmitter may need to be resynchronized.

Resynchronization may be necessary due to the security method used by this system. The transmitter does not send the same signal twice to the receiver. The receiver will not respond to a signal that has been sent previously. This prevents anyone from recording and playing back the signal from the transmitter.

To resynchronize your transmitter, stand close to your vehicle and press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter at the same time for 15 seconds. The door locks should cycle to confirm synchronization. If the locks do not cycle, see your dealer for service.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

Tried the resynchronization of the remote & it locked & unlocked the doors but the "RFA 1 Low Battery" still there. Thanks for the help but I guess I'll need to go to the dealer & let them have a shot at it.

Perhaps the other fob has a low battery?

Didn't think of that since the remote with the #1 on it is the one I changed the battery in but who's to say that I didn't switch the backs inadvertently when I changed the batteries before. Well, I changed the battery in remote #2 and still get RFA 1/Low Battery. I guess it's off to the dealer. Thanks everyone for your help on this.

***Update on RFA 1/Low Battery***
After about a month, the "RFA 1/Low Battery" has cleared itself out of the blue. Don't know why it took so long but I'm glad it's gone. Thanks to everyone who had input on this problem.
