changed batteries and now ac problems

i had no start issue's due to battery failure so i got two brand new duralast gold's from auto zone and replaced them in the parking lot. my ac worked fine before the new batteries, after new batteries all i have is defrost. there's a controller under the dash the control's where the a/c blows i have unpluged it and plugged it back in with no luck. then i unhooked the bateries, grounded out the cables and hooked the batteries back up a/c worked for a few secs then went rite back to blowing on the windsheild. any one else had this happen, or have any input

There is a relearn you can do, but I don't remember how to do it. Try googling it. I seem to remember a thread on here about it, and writeups on other diesel sites. Also, you can pull the HVAC/EAS fuse under the hood for a few minutes to reset it.

Hope this helps,
Brad

x2. Once you reconnect the fuse, DON'T TOUCH THE HVAC CONTROLS for at least 60 seconds, it will be doing the self-calibration.

Hopefully the relearn is all you need!

Do you pull the fuse with the engine stopped and let it sit for a few minutes and then plug it back in? Or do you do anything with the engine running?
