Ron, can you check and see if you can get 6-disc faceplates and buttons, and what prices?

I may be hitting you up for a Nav faceplate, too....

Again, thanks much for finding this out!

Sure, I'll check. Do you mean the 6-disc CDX or the Radio?

They are attached to the radio frame with some very small screws, but I have to think that touchscreen will be VERY, VERY pricey.

I'm sure replacements are available, but I'm almost afraid to find out the price. I can easily imagine the 6.5" touchscreen LCD panels costing $300 or more. I will check it out and let you know.

The Nav buttons are replaceable. I'm going to try it this weekend. I'll take pictures and post a DIY writeup when I'm done.
Could you include the part numbers?

Do you get them from the dealer or somewhere else?

A DIY would be great!

I don't know the part numbers, but I do know that these do not have GM part numbers. I live pretty close to Specmo, which is where I am getting them from. I just kinda went in and showed them the Nav unit and asked about parts. It took a couple of days and a few phone calls on their part, but they finally found what I was looking for. I'm almost afraid to ask them for part numbers, because of how much confusion I caused asking for these parts in the first place. From what I gather, they located the nav buttons in a repair center in a bin of miscellaneous replacement parts. It was like I was the first person to ever ask for these parts... Anyway, it seemed kind of odd. That's why I made the offer to get these for Diesel Place members. I knew how much trouble it was to initially find these, so I thought I would save everyone else the hassle.

BTW, I still plan to write up a DIY, soon.

Ron

You and I have to get together and stroll into Specmo some time, Ron. I'd be like a kid in a candy store at that place.
