I don't have one. But, what's it going on/in? For a Jeep, I can see, but not the truck.

Unless youve EVER broken a u joint, and didnt have one on hand, nor a seperate way to get to a replacement, without driving, and it happend in the middle of nowere.. Then yes, the truck would not need one. Slip yokes are the dumbest way of doing a driveshaft IMO. When a u joint breaks, you cannot just "remove the shaft" and use 4wd to continue on,(cautiously obviously) in front wheen drive, because if you remove your shaft, you will cause all the tcase oil to leak out, and cause havok. Unless you have a 2wd then your just hosed either way haha.

EDIT: While that may have sounded arrogant and obnoxious, (i just reread it) It wasnt geared towards being that way. Just stating the reasons for wanting a slip shaft, instead of yoke. And yes, I have been in the above situation before, and I remembered how upset I was, so I ended up putting a straight axle in that truck, a np241 case, with a sye on the output aswell. It was a bad day haha.

I have exactly what you are looking...a brand new SYE kit. I purchased it from ORU a while back, but have never used it. It's still brand new, in the original box. I was going to use it on my new 3500HD show truck build but went with a completely different transfer case due to amount of lift my truck has. I have sent you a PM to discuss further.

I have capped the end with a plastic bottle and continued on in front wheel drive. The SYE is the way to go for a wheeling truck, but for a street truck I would skip it.

Another reason that it's needed is so you can run a common CV on the front shaft, which is needed for the SAS.

ORU realized that they couldn't do any solid axle swaps without the pro comp sye and is currently having one made. Not done yet(You probably know this already cjsho) It's supposed to be an improved design over the pro-comp. Maurice at ORU said he didn't like how far the old procomp one stuck out and is designing his to be shorter? I think... don't quote me on that last sentence though...call them and ask

BTW crazyweldingguy Nice 2.5 ton gmc axles in your avitar. What are they going on?
