Simple question. How much oil does my 2005 lly take?

I am planning on doing my own oil changes from now on to save money and go with synthetic oil etc....just want to make sure I put the right amount back in. thanks

Interesting...I've done three changes on my 05 now and using 10 qts and a filter brings me to just a hair under the full mark.

I get mine done at the dealer that I bought it from and they put in 10.5 qt. I get it done every 3000 miles and they charge me 11.99 for oil and filter. Carl L.

CARL L.....they only charge you 11.99 to do a complete oil and filter change? WTF...how did you swing that. Its around $60 here at a lube place but thats not synthetic which is much more. I can change the oil and filter to synthetic for about $45 myself. Thats a tad higher than $11.99 though. Your getting a smokin' deal if so........late.
