A trailer/dolly to haul a duramax?

I am moving to Alabama from Michigan next week and am having a tough time finding a rental company that rents either a trailer or a dolly that is big enough for my 03 duramax behind a moving truck. Anyone have any ideas? The lady at U-haul recommend a flatbed tow truck, can only imagine that is about another $1000 or better tow bill...

You could try to rent one of those tow bars motor homes use to tow cars on all 4 wheels. Or buy one then Ebay it.

It would be cheaper to leave the truck behind, then fly back and get her.

PM me if you want and I'll give you a # of a guy I've used several times to transport for me. He runs from Dallas to Detroit weekly and was charging me like $600-650 from Dallas to here.

You don't want to tow with the drive wheels on the ground on an automatic..........at least not without it running and the pump in the trans running. It's a big towing No No. It'll burn up a trans.

Take off the driveshaft and/or put the transfer case in neutral. Our manual outlines how to do it.
