yep

priced one yesterday. I am seriously considering it. I am guessing that I will be doing around 100-125,000 miles a year.

With it being a mid-mount, replacing the carrier bearing, I will be able to transfer to another vehicle later if I choose.

Bad thing is price. 2 new drive shafts $900, gear vendor $2995 install $500. I am having 2 new driveshafts made so I can revert to stock if a warranty item comes up and for resale.

I sent GV an email last September or so asking about an application for the newer trucks and they said that they did not have an application for the Allison yet, but that they were working on one. So, do they have one available now?

I did, and I don't see anything listed for the Allison trans (2wd) or the xfer case (4wd) with the Allison. They have them for the manual 6 speed, but that's it.
