Vibration/shudder, Calling any specialists..

Long frustrating talk with service director today. Had slight vibration at 75mph, dealer replaced carrier bearing, got lots worse and was constant, dealer had driveline shop put new tubes on my 2 piece shaft. That helped but still not right. I took shaft back to driveline shop to have rechecked. They said it was fine. I then found a bad Ujoint. Dealer took shaft and put all new Ujoints in. That helped lots but now I'm left with a shudder at 20mph that is much worse when I accelerate hard.
I want a GM driveline in my truck, dealer won't do it because warranty states they are to fix it the cheapest way they can...hence tubes instead of a $955 driveline. I'm pissed!
They did put heavier guage tubes in, .83 instead of .63, maybe something in the Ally doesn't jive with the heavier tubes?
Every time I've brought this truck in the dealer has screwed something else up.
Now they are telling me the only way they will do anything is if I let them just have it and do what they will. Shop foreman said driveline angles and shimming. It's funny how my truck all of a sudden needs shimming.. all within a 3 day period... So, if I bring it to them they will bandaid it but not fix it...
Any help at this point would be great. Wife want me to get rid of it and buy a Toyota like she wanted to begin with. Been to the dealer like 25x since November for various issues... I don't want to get rid of this truck but baby is due in 3 weeks and my wife is on my but about spending soo much time messing around with this thing...If anyone knows a good dealer or person please advise. I'm in Southeast TN..

sounds like you must have a two piece driveshaft.i have an 01 with a two piece driveshaft and i did all of the above and still no luck.the only thing is we made a one piece driveshaftand that took the shudder away but the vibe. got alot worse at a higher speed.from what i hear the only thing is a oem alum. shaft (harmonics i guess).(the ones we made were steel).

I'm not sure what the stock shaft was made of but I think it was steel.

They did replace all of my Ujoints but I had to wait on 1 that dealer received that was defective. Now I've got 3 new joints.
Did notice last nite that the middle joint that is brand new looks as if it is leaking oil from the cap. Could this be causing my shudder at 20MPH? Maybe they put a defective one in my truck afterall...

Take it to another dealer, How is it you are taking the shaft's back to the driveline shop and not the dealer. Why are you the one finding a bad u-joint and not the dealer or the driveline shop. Why is the dealer installing "aftermarket" parts on a new truck which will not be warrantied through GM. These are all questions that i would be asking GM directly and i would be getting all documentation of this, especially for all the trips to the dealer. Sounds like they have had your truck more than you have.

Yes, they have had it more than I have. I took the driveline to the shop directly b/c dealer said it was fine. To them, everything was "normal". This dealer has parts changers not mechanics. Other dealers will not touch the truck due to the fact this dealer has screwed it up. The dealer said they re-tubed it thru the shop b/c it's cheaper than ordering a new driveline and that's what our warranties say. Dealer would say I am being picky about the vibration even though it was not there until they messed with it.
