I bought a set of 285s used with ~15K miles. I have easily put 25K miles on them and just sold them with my old rims and they still have ~1/4" tread remaining.

There are some pics in my garage. I think they look just as good as the Toyo MT and Cooper STT. And if I had of gone back with a 16" rim, I'd likely run them again. Incredible mileage for a mud terrain in my opinion. They are also pretty quiet for a MT. At least compared to my g/f's off brand BFG MT knock-offs.

Also note that I rotated often and regularly. About ever 5K miles or with every oil change. They have never needed rebalancing the entire time I've had them. The previous owner used the balancing beads with them. I had the tires put on my rims and balanced with conventional wheel weights and as far as I know they were balanced when I sold them. They never shook.

I had 2 sets on a 99 Ram. Wear is good but they don't bite very good off road.

Is it safe to say that the Dayton's would perform just as well if not better then BF A/T's offroad? If they are not any better offroad than my A/T's I will look at something else.

The BF's are the best tire that I have put on a truck. I have had three sets on three different trucks and every set has been excellent. Zero problems,I STRONGLY recomend these to anyone considering them. I would stay with them I just want to try a mud terrain in a 265 or 285. Send me some pictures when you can get your truck back .
