Pasanger side dashboard raddle?
On my 02 D-max I'm getting some rattling noise that is coming from the dashboard on the passenger side as I’m driving down the road or when I’m idling when the engine is cold. It’s coming from behind the glove box area I have no idea what it is. I have emptied out the glove box and had not success, I’ve done my best to look behind the dash but I can’t see anything that would make the noise. Is there anyone out there that has had the same problem and figured it out, because this is driving me crazy!
Thanks for the help |

I have this same issue right now.
Think i will dive in tomorrow. Had the same type of noise in my dash on drivers side. Happened to be one of the screws that hold the gauge cluster. Pulled screw and put a small peice of rubber behind it, tightened back up and no more noise. Hope its this easy on the passenger side!

I just had mine apart, there is an air bag module, and some type of computer behind the bag. Below that is your fan assembly. The top of the dash pad is held down up by the windshield with a series of tab/slot setups that are not secured very well to the plastic. One of them could have broken and the plastic is rattling. Press down right near the windshield and see if that stops it.. if not pull airbag module out and see if a duct or actuator is loose.
