2007.5 on up, favor please.
A guy wants me to build him a speaker box to go under the rear seat of his 2007.5, but he is 50 miles away. If someone could give me the dimensions of the area under each side of the seat, I would really appreciate it. Or if someone has a box under their seat, could you just give me dimensions for that. I will be putting a single 10 in there ported if I can.

There aren't two straight points any where.
Like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/CUSTOM-CHEVY...6075%26ps%3D54 I suppose you could extrapolate dimensions from pages 46 and 47 here http://www.gmupfitter.com/publicat/2..._CC_071712.pdf

Thanks for the link hmc. I think my best bet will be to find a similar truck and build off of that. i had an 1997 ext cab and built an outer frame then cut it out piece by piece to close it in. I think I had to cut about 10-12 pieces for each side. Fiberglass would also be good option as that will get the most volume, but I don't know if he wants to spend that much on materials.

SOme random thoughts...
![]() I got a bottom-firing Subthump box and it was awful (single 12"). I ported it and ran a tube (did the math) and it got "better" but still sucked. I made my own sealed box in an upfiring config, moved my Dayton 12" HO over to the new box, and it is GREAT. I wouldn't port it... but I'm going more for SQ then SPL Make sure whatever single 10" you go with doesn't need too much depth. You have a max of about 6". You can make a simple wedge on the driver's side of the CC, but the passenger side sucks to try to make something... and it seems to have less depth available. I think I came in around .89cuft after I took out for the driver, which was perfect for the Dayton. Mine is an LMM CC, so if that's what you are looking for, lemme know and I'll give you the dimensions. I have the subthump box if anyone wants to buy it on the cheap. Wally
