Has anybody tried moving the urea tank?
My biggest gripe with the DEF system is the location of the urea tank. I do rough off-roading and that tank looks like it has a big bulls-eye painted on it. Has anybody successfully relocated the tank? Could it be done?

i dont see why not. wires & hoses to extend then a new filler spout. i think it would be easer to make a heavy duty skid plate to cover it

Fuel tank is the SAME height as the def tank.
Don't recall anyone yet reporting puncture of either from off-roading(of course that doesn't mean it hasn't happened)

Don't worry about it until you rip it off, (which you won't).

If your going to take it off to relocate it just put it on the shelf and delete your truck! No worries then as long as nothing breaks haha

i think you will break a cv shaft, tie rod or ball joint before the tank. i wouldnt worry about it.

When I bought my LML, the dealer had already installed a metal skid plate to protect the DEF tank. This skid plate gives it full protection.
