08 headlights
Hi...I just bought a 2008 Duramax and I noticed that when the high beams are on, the lows stay on also. Did it come from the factory like this or did the previous owner fiddle with the wiring? Also, in the daylight, my gauge lights are on as soon as the key is turned on, even with the switch on auto. Is this normal? Thanks in advance.

my 06 lbz didnot run both on till i did the headlight mod look at the fuse panel under the hood & see if their is a little jumper wire from relay to relay this is how i did mine to run hi & low at same time this is not factory. (search all on headlight mod)

My brother has a 2007.5 GMC and his lights don't all come on together either...I guess the factory changed it for the 2008 models so that they are all on at the same time.

Head light auto position
Mine don't do that..(stay on). During the day, no dash lights, no tail lights, no marker lights. only driving lights. In the day time I can turn on my fog lights and everything will come on. I'd like to have my day time driving lights stay off during the day and run my fog lights with marker lights. looks cooler. and it would be nice if my fog lights stayed on run I stitch to high beam.
