let's talk about Air Bags (load levelers) on lifted trucks
I've got a 04 Silverado 2500HD 4X4 with a 10" Cognito Lift and 2" keys. I'm also running all Leaf springs in the rear, No lift blocks. My rear Deaver springs are set up for a 12" lift. So I have a big gap between the springs and frame.
I'm needing a air bag set up in the rear for when I tow with my buggy in the back of my truck and pull a trailer. What are you guys running for air bags on your big lifted trucks? I have no problem installing them myself Just need to know what kits are out there. The Cognito kit is made for a 10" lift BUT it's WAY over priced. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !

You could build something, using some semi truck air bags. Best thing to do would be measure the room you have to work with and go onto firestones site and see what would fit. Or buy a kit for a stock height truck and space it from there.

Remove the bumpstop, jack the frame so the axle is at full droop, measure from the frame at the bumpstop to the top of the axle. That is longer then the maximum length needed for hte airbag (There will be a bracket to attach the top of the airbag to the frame and the bottom to the axle). You can space the airbag up off the axle, or down from the frame if needed. I would put on some sort of traction bar - axle wrap is VERY hard on airbags.
