Well, I decided to bail!
I really didn't have the need for a diesel, but I had to have one. Started with a 2007 Classic LBZ drove it for a year, added mild mods....Ppe standard, turbo bac exhaust, etc......the opportunity popped up for a low mile, super clean 2008 LTZ so I jumped on it, started the mod game all over again, this time going with dmax tuner spade, etc....got to the point that I needed to build the trans, no issues, just for reliability sake. I just couldn't make myself take the plunge for a full suncoast build.
My wife and I have decided to build a house, and are in the process of eliminating debt and bills, so I started thinking it was time to go back to a half ton. Tonight, I worked a deal on a 2012 1500 with 125 miles, and traded my 39,000 mile LMM. I came out with a brand new truck, with a much smaller payment. New truck even has a lifetime power train warranty, and came with a factory warranty backing the mods. I appreciate all of the help, and I learned a ton from you guys! Thank You!

I loved my LMM, but I have a feeling the EPA stuff is gonna get a lot worse. Its time for me to move on, and focus on more important things.

Not sure I understand factory warranty backing the mods. The only time a gm warranty extends to mods are when they are gm parts dealer installed. Also Lifetime power train would be a dealer or aftermarket thing not gm. Agreed these trucks are too expensive as a hobby. If/when I no longer rv my diesel is gone and a small sporty car (love driving my wifes acura) is the replacement.

Your right, the lifetime power train is dealer backed, it was explained to me that the lift, wheels, and tires were covered under the factory warranty. I may be wrong there, I'll look again, it could be covered by the dealer as well. It has what they call the new "rock" package and has to do with the new gm upgrades to the dealership. While I've always been against dealer lifted trucks due to massive markup, I guess I caught them at a good time, needing to meet there quota. Anyway, sorry for the confusion.

And for the update....took the truck back Monday. It wouldn't pull itself down the road after 4th gear.
I reworked a deal on a 6.2 hope to be able to pick it up on Friday
