I think it will.....the 5.3 and 3.42's did not like the 33x12.50s on a 20x10, that's for sure. It was fine 1st thru 4th gear, but it was dead in 5th and 6th. With the cruise set on 70, it wouldn't stay in 6th at all.
I think the 6.2 will solve the problem!

Your never gonna be happy with a gasser again. It's the torque down low your not feeling and that 6.2 is not gonna be any different. You just have to suck it up and drive a weak truck...

Well, here is replacement #2.
2012 Silvy with 6.2 and Max Trailer Package, 3.73 gears. I have about 1,500 miles on it now and love it! The 6.2 has zero trouble turning over the 33's! Does not have the Active Fuel Management either.

The red truck did, but they did the mods on the black one for me, allowing me to choose what I wanted. I said I would never buy a dealer lifted truck, but I have known the guys that they had install the lift, wheels, and tires for a long time, so I was OK with it.
