I have had my 2012 LTZ for 2.5 weeks and so far it has been outstanding! This is coming from a 2003 which was a very good truck and in the 9 yrs of ownership all it needed was a water pump and wheel bearing.
I almost went with a Ram this time but they don't have the payload #'s that the gm's do and I carry a heavy truck camper so this was important to me, Ford wasn't even an option for me. Just to give you an example, my new factory ordered 2012LTZ stickered for $73,495, I got mine for $60,880 - $4000 in rebates, I also refused to pay the doc fee's ($199) when I was signing the deal. Hope this helps.

They put cooled seats in the Chevy's now? How about a heated steering wheel?
If that's the case, not much reason to buy a Denali anymore, body color bumpers and a different grille?

Personally I am waiting til 2014 when Chevy will theoretically update the interior and Ford has worked out the bugs and decide then. But for now I think Chevy is the king.

I didnt spend a lot of time going through the interior of the truck but what I noticed thus far is there appears to be no storage behind the back seat which is a load of &*&*$$ and the plastic is very cheap looking. I bought my first Chev in 2000 (crew cab with the 454) and it seems like they have cheaped out ever since. Pay more-get less

For the cheap plastic, I think all the manufacturers are like that. Even my wife's Buick with the fake wood grain looks cheap. That is just a sign of the times, prices stay low in a recession so they save on materials and/ or labor. At least American cars have focused on improving the life of vehicles to compete with Japan. How else is the truck? You hook up a trailer yet?

You may not see your preferred body style until sometime in 2015 -- buy today, your 'new' truck could be 3 years when the nextgen truck is available.

Truck is coming home Saturday. I have to get a blue receiving blanket cause I think its a boy! Ha Ha
Just wondering if they have fixed the pump rub, the steering column rattle issue and the leaking power steering hoses. Or is there other GM grief to be looking forward to? |
