Because I hookup to the trailer daily at 5:30 am and wouldnt waste my time deflating every day whenever I get done. And the sidewall of the tire doesnt have a loaded / unloaded psi rating just max psi when cold like any other tire I've ever bought.
The sidewall of the tire doesnt look compressed any more or less noticable to the eye when unloaded or hooked up to the trailer, Maybe slightly but not too much by any means. Traction on the icy roads is far from good at 65 in the rear so Ill run at 60 for a bit again to compare. Just keep forgetting to air down when Im out there and its too cold to get the ambition to go back outside for that purpose right now.

Do you know rear axle weights? For a 285/75R17E the tables say max load per tire is
2215 # @ 35 PSI 2430 # @ 40 PSI 2640 # @ 45 PSI 2835 # @ 50 PSI 2955 # @ 55 PSI 3075 # @ 60 PSI 3195 # @ 65 PSI 3595 # @ 70 PSI 3775 # @ 75 PSI 3970 # @ 80 PSI

Thats good info thanks Diesail. I dont know exact weights, havent weighed it yet but assuming Im 9000 lbs loaded (trailer + cargo) Pin weight should be around 2250 lbs(rough calculation at 25%) add on whatever the stock rear end weighs(which I dont think is much) plus 2x 3.5" blocks and a fifthwheel hitch. Ill take a shot in the dark and guess my rear end to be somewhere around 3000 lbs so I should be ok at 60lbs assuming my guess work is right.
I know I know I should get weighed but just not sure where and when I can around here and would prefer not to go to a govt' weigh station. One day I will but the stock I carry isnt overly heavy, it does add up but its not extreme weight by any means.
