Duramax Tuner Review

Just got my EFI Live tune from Nick @ DuraMaxTuner.com and holy SH*T is it awesome. Excellent product and even better customer service. If you got and 8.1L and think its fast stock you havent seen anything. Talk to Nick and let him hook ya up. You wont be dissapointed.

Havent loaded the Ally tune yet but will be doing that tonight. And will report back on gas mileage also.

Im big on customer service and Nick is no slouch on this trust me. Got a question....Just call him. He'll return ur call as soon as possible. I know Ive blown his phone up a few times and he still calls me back.

www.duramaxtuner.com need the V2 for ur truck. Split it with someone else since it comes with 2 liscences and ur cheaper than a regular tuner.

It is worth it. If you have 2 trucks like justinp95 you can tune/read codes both, if you had to buy 2 seperate downloadable tuners I think they are more than 350.00 each, then you can tune unlimited trucks with a 99.00 lisence. All I have is the software my buddy has the V2 flash scan, I use his when we flash my truck, but I always have to bother him, I can't wait until I buy my own! just my .02

Thanks Chris and Justin, I appreciate it.

It's all about what you want in a product/service, I don't pretend to be the only tuner out there. There is all sorts of stuff available to those with different needs. I encourage those in the market to shop around and make no false promises.

The software and sales support I offer is worth what I charge to any customer in the market for such a product. If you're in the market for another product, then maybe it isn't to you personally. That hardly belongs in this thread though.

Nick

I understand where you guys are coming from about the money but if you think about all the stuff you can do with EFI Live other than just tuning its pretty much a better deal. Plus when you get a tune from someone that u send or recieve just a PCM then that to me is no better than buying a Hypertech. Your basically getting a premade tune. So everyone prolly has the same tune ur running and not specific to ur truck. Dont get me wrong Im not bashing anyone but I would rather have it made for exactly what I want and need. Such as now...I logged after tune and still getting some KR. So I go back to Nick and we work it out if possible and reflash....pulling out 5* which its my understanding that every 1* = 4HP. So I can gain another 10-20 HP at WOT if we get it outta there. Cant tell this or fix it when you get a PCM sent to you. Nor can you tweak anything later on in real time data.

It really all boils down to what you want and piece of mind really. I choose this route for this reason. Plus Nick stands behind everything he does and in this day and age thats not to common.

Plus as I said before if you split the cost with a friend (as I did) its about the same price as what you guys are paying for half the setup. $380.00. Not too bad in my opinion.

Let me be the first to tell ya this thing MOVES OUT now. Cant tune an Allison with the premade tunes either.

So find a friend and call Nick.

i give a thumbs up for nick.

The customer service alone is worth the price of a V2. Everytime i have called all my questions were answered and i was back on the road. The turorials that nick has provided us with are a huge step ahead as well.

The tune library is great as well. Nothing like being able to switch around tunes with your situation.

I need to talk to ya about some allison tuning :-)
