Vibration @ idle

I have a slight vibration when the motor is at idle, just enough to fuzz the mirrors and cause a buzz with some interior part that I haven't been able to isolate and tighten. As soon as as I touch the throttle and the rpms pick up just a bit it goes smooth. Could this be a bad injector? Just looking for an answer to a mildly bothersome condition.
Thanks
Hutch

It could possibly be an injector. Have the balance rates checked. Remember, it is a diesel A certain amount of vibration is normal.

Check your oil level. (I'm starting to sound like a broken record).
Mine had a noticable vibration when it was dumping fuel into the crankcase.

Nope, it's an Allison, and all fluid levels are ok. I will have the dealer do a balance test when I take it in for the fuel filter recall. It isn't much of a vibration, just enough to notice, I suppose I should ride in some other Dmaxes and see if they behave the same.
Thanks for the help
Hutch

Mine does the same- just barely fuzzes the mirror at about 680 rpm (on the Attitude monitor), goes away once off idle....

Bad fuel pressure regulator? SOMETIMES mine acts up (its starting to going bad...im just too lazy to spend the time to replace it now tho) and causes a "lopey" idle and vibrates more than normal. Once the truck warms up and fuel temp comes up, it smooths out and the actual rail pressure follows the commanded rail pressure. Whereas when it acts up and has the lopey idle, the rail PSI is double what it should be.

try running some B-20 bio....it made my truck run like pure silk...if you can't get bio...try running a real strong dose of powerservice or stanadine and take out to the freeway and stand on it for a while...your injectors tend to "varnish" when you don't put constant load on them...no big deal though, just needs to have the webs blown out!

Did you resolve any thing Dr Hutch? I'm just now having the same problem and it started so sudden. I loved the fact that my diesel ran smoother than most of my buddies gas engines and suddenly just at Idle or if I slightly kick the gas pedal to a little over 600 r.p.m it shakes the cab a little maybe bad diesel. Just turned 68,000 and I took it in today and had the fuel filter recall done and truck still runs the same. The Dealer sarcastically states" feels like a running engine to me! Asshole. You can feel the vibration in your seat. Let me know if you came up with anything.

Thanks Dave
