White Smoke, limp mode
I have a 01 dmax and it throws a bunch of white smoke. I don't think its the injectors because im not making oil, and it runs just fine. Also, it goes into limp mode all the time. Usually when im pulling a trailer but sometimes it just does it for no reason. Lately there has been a little bit of transmission slipping and heating as well. I don't know if these problems are related or if i have alot to fix on my truck...

Can you please fill out your signature line with your truck and it's modifications. This will help us better diagnose the problem.
Have you read the codes when the truck goes into limp mode? Just because it's not putting fuel in the oil, doesn't mean the injectors are not bad. Have you had the balance rates checked? How about a return rate test?

X3^^ Mine wasn't "making oil" when the injectors went. Smoking white though.

I also had no fuel in the crankcase when my injectors were bad. Did have white smoke though, and it got worse and worse until I replaced them.

white smoke could also be injector cups/head gasket maybe, and yea filling out your sig would be pretty helpful. This truck doesnt sound very healthy. Id say if it has a tune in it, itd be wise to turn it down some for starters.
