Low oil pressure

I have a 2004 duramax after it gets warm the oil pressure drops and the warning message comes on. Truck has 100k and when you hook the tech2 up it reads the same as the gauge 4lbs. Where and what should we look for?

How is the oil? Does it have any fuel in it? Take a drop of oil and put it on a piece of paper paper, does it develop a halo around it?

Have you tried changing the oil?

You could have fuel in your oil from bad injectors, which would cause the oil pressure to be low.

I dont believe it would be the sender since the reading is the same on the tech2. No fuel in the oil either.

^^^ You never drove it after the injector change, and yet the pressure stayed the same?

If the 8th digit of the VIN is 1 it is an LB7, 2 is an LLY.

How old is the oil?
