Code P0093 2001 duramax

This code is telling me a large leak is detected. I think I have the problem narrowed down to the fuel pressure regulator for the rail system. In the mean time, I decided to change the oil because it's the weekend. I have diesel fuel mixed in the oil. The engine holds 10qts of oil, compared to my collection container, I would say another 4 or 5qts of fuel mixed in with that. I had no idea it was that large a leak. Any Ideas.

wouldn't that indicate a leaking injector by the fuel in the oil?

X2 that's what I would guess. Jus cause the FPR is bad the injectors still have to open and close unless one is cracked or stuck open which is why there is fuel in the oil.

Sorry to hear about your luck, but I am x3 for 1 or more injectors being bad. Good luck!

just had the same code myself recently which kept coming on for about 2 weeks off and on with no diesel rising in the crankcase.had it sent to the dealer as i know my fuel pressure regulator is acting up and has been for quite some time but yes in the end it was injectors leaking.might want to get them checked. caught mine just in time
