Starts, then dies?

I have an '04 LB7 with 111,000 miles on it. I got into it the other day, started it up, put it into drive, rolled just a bit, tapped the go pedal, and then it died. I got out, popped the hood and pumped the button on top of the fuel filter to prime it up and it started and ran just fine after that. I didn't think much about it since it ran fine afterwards, but does anyone have any idea what is goin on here?

Possible air in the line, maybe a particle of dirt..ect..? Good idea to replace the fuel filter more often than is recomended imho..I do mine 4-7k in stead of the 10-15k..cheap insurance in my book.

Dad's truck started doing this pretty regularly awhile back. Turned out that the fuel filter wasn't on tight enough and was allowing air to enter the fuel system.

Fuel filter replacement or air in fuel lines. I had that happen to me the first time I bought the truck last December. When that happened, I knew what to look for since I had the same thing happen to my old Dodge Cummins truck. I was told that fuel filters should be replaced more often than what the book recomends. Im due for another one on my next oil change soon.

check the o-ring on the bleeder screw. They leak. I am going to replace the junk plastic screw with a lubrication specialist stainless one. They are nice and you can tighten with your fingers. Cheap insurance for the junk plastic one.

PS I think it was $2.00 or something like that. I know I installed one on my buddies truck and he doesn't have that morning issue anymore.

Why do you think that? Is it leaking?
