This is the second time I fueled up and drive about 60 miles and the check engine light comes on. The first time the light went off after I used up a half tank. I have about 38,ooo miles and never had a problem. I do not have a scanner to check codes and just wondering what to do. The truck runs fine, no smoke and no idle problems.

swing by your local auto parts store usually they have a scanner

Have you checked the obvious? If the cap is not screwed on correctly that will throw a code and produce the warning.

Stopped by Advanced and used the scanner. They printed out the code
P0302 Cylinder 2 misfire detected. I did not clear the code so when I bring it it they could see it.

bad fuel? if its happenin in realtion to filling up, change your fuel filter and try some addative and see if it helps. ....and cross fingers against our wonderful injector issues....

I thought the vapor recovery system wouldn't throw codes like a gasser
