I run it in the 6.5TD and I have sold hundreds of gallons of this stuff. Some for the Dmax but mostly Power Stokre guys.

I know in the PC market it's gotten high marks for water cooled overclocked systems, but for cars, I rank all the claims up there with the $165 magnets. Probably is better than standard, but never quite as good as all it's claims.

I run it in my Duramax. Have for 41K miles already. Haven't seen a negative to it yet.

Just buy plenty of extra since you cant top it off like regular stuff if you have a problem or if you need to and you cant go down to the local autozone and grab the stuff. Not likely but it would suck to pop a hose or need to change a thermostat or something and have to let your truck sit and wait for the UPS man. I've wanted to try it in another application but that reason and the fact its kinda spendy shyed me away. I'm always out to find something better but in this case I'm a wuss Besideds.....old green and pink hasnt let me down yet **knock on wood**

And I know they talk about low pressure and all that. Have you done anything to the dmax or is the cooling system unmodded short of the coolant?

My truck is still 100 percent original other than converting all the fluids over to synthetic.


I've done some reading over on The Diesel Page where guys are installing a Baldwin filter on their cooling system. Comments posted there indicated that the first filter only lasted a very short while and normally filled up with sand from the engine.

I may or may not stick with the original anti-freeze and water. I like the concept of the Evans coolant. Just looking for additional info. Thanks for everyone's input.

I've seen faster warm-ups, .5mpg, helps with some of the hotter performance adders, and waiting to see about hose life.

More places are carrying Evans as more Semis are using it. Did you check Evans' Dealer list? I have replaced the pressure cap making my cooling system zero pressure. I have been working on a hotter thermostat.

I checked into it a couple years ago.....bout the only way I could get it was by mail.


So you did go to the low pressure/flow deal that they talk about.....cool, I was just wondering. Wouldnt have thought about faster warm up, the duramax is the only vehical I have ever drove that the oil gets to temp way before the water Didnt ever notice it with the Ford oil burners either.....but never really looked at the ford gauges.....who cares if she blows (not really)Edited by: ratlover
