intake resonator

what does it do? looking at a new turbo mouthpice and noticed the kodiak and s&b deletes it while the lbz and afe uses it.

Not at all. I took mine off, and only noticed a slight change. Gave it a bit more throaty sounding drone but I decided to put it back on.

Some have plugged them with a plumbing cap because they have said the resonator will crack, but really that has not been a common occurrence. We ran a poll on it a while back, let me see if I can find it

I removed mine as a precautionary measure. I have a 1/2 mile long dirt road that gets extremely dusty during the summer, and I didn't want to chance the resonator splitting at a seam and sucking in dust. Since the resonator is after the filter, the dust would go straight into the turbo, intercooler, and engine.
