turbo bearings bad?
i have an 04.5 lly with 161k on it. when its cold and i start it up, even if i let it run for 5 to 10 minutes, i will take off easy with barely any throttle and never exceed 2k.i also put it on my low boost (lb7) tune but yet it will built 10lbs of boost with hardly any throttle. it makes this sound from under the hood that sounds exactly like a supercharger whine. once it warms up, its gone and will whistle like a normal turbo. could this be my bearings?

On a cold engine I would guess power steering pump whine or something else.
Keep in mind the turbo spins something like 10,000+RPM under normal operating conditions. If you had bad bearings that were making noise they would show themselves in short order. There are all kinds of fluids and bearings that are part of the accessory drive that can be clod and make a slight whine until warm.

ok i wasnt sure because ive read many things saying they could go. Isnt there a kind of power steering mod to stop it from that?
