You both missed the point I made. The original question was asking about the mouthpiece in KB's IOH kit. We weren't discussing the shady business practices he was accused of.

Regardless... the MP that Michael used/uses in his much lauded IOH kit are nothing more than either LLY or LBZ mouthpieces that he sanded on the inside; and when I say either LLY or LBZ, that's because Michael sells (or sold) both. But the fact remains that what he is/was selling was a slightly modified factory stock turbo mouthpiece, and the "modification" was little more than a few minutes with some sandpaper to smooth some edges.
You see, I read every single word of all of Michaels marketing "research", reviewed all of his product pics inside and out, and all of his marketing materials... and I was involved in several similar experiments with various solutions to the problem. Furthermore, Rick Lance did some key flow bench analysis of the various stock mouthpieces - I have one of his 4" induction systems made to connect to a Kodiak mouthpiece. I also talked directly with the AFE guys out at SEMA at length about their Bladerunner - what it would take to offer variants for other model years, etc. I've done the homework on this subject. The point is... Michael's mouthpieces do work. Of course they do - they're genuine GM parts! Why would you pay $300 for a $70 - $120 part? If you truly feel there's that much value in his solutions, I'll save you a ton of money and sell you a sheet of sandpaper to go with the GM mouthpiece and save you a hundred bucks or more. That's not anti-KB bias; that is FACT.

In my IOH kit that I bought from him, there was no sanding on the inside of the mouthpiece. He modified the rim slightly where it mounts to the turbo so that, when installed, it would align properly and not conflict with other hard lines. Despite what you and others think of him, it was a quality kit and well worth the money to me. The extra few bucks saved me from having to do any research, figure out where to cut, and risk making an error. You guys don't seem to be able to separate the issues of a quality product from a person's reputation or business practices. That's the only point I was trying to make and I stand by it. It is a quality product and works well.
