Oil leaking out of exhaust???

My truck is leaking oil out of the exhaust... Could it be the turbo? What should I look for?

How much? What consistency? All the time or only when hot/cold - Idling/under load? Are you sure its not soot and water?

You will also get better answers if you have all your mods in your sig.

Is the oil black like it is used? It could also be oil in the new exhaust used to protect it. Examine the old exhaust to see if it is full of oil. Should be easy to tell. Start as close to the motor as possible.

Exhaust pipe oil leak

If the truck has had the PVC reroute done to it then check to make certain that the reroute tubing is not blocked. If it is then the engine crankcase will become pressurized and pump oil past the rings out the exhaust.

Ask me how I know. It happened to me during the winter when condensate would build up in a low section of my reroute tubing and freeze blocking the tubing. Next thing you know oil would begin leaking from the muffler. At times quite a bit of oil could be found on the ground, if you sat idling. Drove me crazy trying to find the cause. I increased the size of my vent piping and rerouted it, no more troubles.
