topkick Pickup

Well, I just painted and started putting some miles on my new tow rig. It is a

-1990 topkick 6500 with air brakes and a cat diesel
-98 crew cab cab
-short bed
-freightliner air ride rear end

What cat and why not a Duramax? Looks awsome, I would like to make a 6 door truck for my family and 5th wheel. Though yours might be a bit tall for my little ones.

Keep the temp in check. Those 3116's are decent engines when the run, but a huge pain when they don't, and they are a dry sleeve, so an in frame is out of the question.

I keep hearing stories about these motors but I have had pretty good luck so far. It does smoke allot. I think someone before me turned it up some. The only complaint so far is its loud.
