The aftermarket promises a kit to make DPFs serviceable, but....

Seeing as how the sensors are in the exhaust stream, I believe that you need someone versed on a Tech II or equivalent to monitor real time inputs from the sensors. It would not be far-fetched to believe that one or more of the soot covered, high heat exposed, sensors is sending incorrect data.

Mine has been doing regens about the same 400-500 miles. I just added 21/2 gallons of DEF at 11981 miles and it was filled last at 8250 miles that's about 1500 mpg. I've been really busy the last 6 months so of the 3800 miles or so on that fill up have been driving around town and short trips.

OP: Read the other 70 pages

To the OP: I started the other thread you are referring to, and every single possible scenario was covered. The bottom line is that a reflash by GM to address an underperforming emissions systems likely was the cause of the reduced regen intervals. I went from 500+ mile intervals, all the way down to 200 overnight. No change in driving habits, weather, DEF fluid, brand of fuel, atmospheric pressure, wind direction, moon phase, etc. It was 100% due to the mandatory reflash. Until GM removes that shitty emissions systems and comes up with a better solution, I am done with diesels.

If it is caused by this reflash then why is my truck along with many others still getting and average of 550 mile regens? It is a sensor issue plan and simple.

I get 450-500 going back and forth to work and 650-700 on road trips.

Greg
I had the reflash last year. My latest regen was at 700 miles. Previous one was 500 with a lot of stop and go.
