Depending on how tight the zips are they may collapse the hoses later on.
Better would have been a 1/8" thick plastic or rubber padding to wrap the hose first then the zips. On a aircraft a zip around a hose or wire without padding is a no no.

Did the mod. But getting an in and out buzzing noise you can hear under the hood from outside the truck. Same noise as before. Maybe it is a different noise than this quick fix...Different problem?

Since day one I have had a minor amount of what I'd describe as a vibration. Seemed to come from behind the cluster. It was more pronounced in cold weather but I'm rarely in cold and it seemed to be "bump" induced. After reading this thread, I went out loosened the heater hose clamp, rotated the hose straight up, put a tie wrap on it. Vibration completely gone. I'm amazed. Shocked even. It did not seem that my noise matched what II was reading here but it worked. I need to do something with the tie wrap 'cause I'm not real comfortable with that.
Wondering if I should take it to the dealer for a new hose under warranty or just leave well enough alone?

I did mine without a tie wrap and it worked fine. Try it without the tie wrap.

When I get around to I plan on taking mine back to the dealer and see if they'll put the new style hose on under warranty even though another dealer installed the zip ties which to me is only a temp. fix.

Ugly fix the sealer did for the OP - you would think they would trim the excess ziptie ends....

It doesn't look to me like the hose is rotated straight up enough.
