94 k1500 6.5 TD not starting excessive white smoke
I have a 1994 k1500 6.5 TD it's been starting and running great then sometimes it won't start at all and lately it will just die on me driving when I apply the brake and it idles down. It has excessive blow by out of the oil dip stick and when I open the oil cap. I replaced the cdr valve and it was fine for about a day but it still has blow by. I installed a new turbo on it and didn't put a new gasket where the oil return line is and I ran it almost out of oil. The gauge said it was low but it still showed a little pressure so I drove it home and when I got there the dipstick had no oil so I'm wondering if I totally screwed up my motor but the way it tries to start and it smokes is just like I've seen before. I'm wondering if this is a pmd issue but it seems to be getting fuel. I really don't know what to do on this I really need help getting this thing running reliably because I use it as my work truck doing moving jobs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to test the LP and OPS.
On a 94, OPS runs the LP when engine is running. The OPS is known to be a weak spot. If replacing OPS, make sure you get ACDelco OPS which you probably have to order or go to the stealership. None of local part store have it in stock other than their store brand which does not work most of the time.

I think the lift pump is good because I can hear it loudly when the key is in the wait to start position and when I open the bleeder screw fuel shoots out very quickly. I also forgot to mention that I could see oil coming from the base of the sensor located directly ontop of the intake but I could not see oil in the intake when I took off the turbo and looked in last night

I also didn't mention that I have new batteries Not even a week old and when I am trying to start it it catches and sounds like how it sounds right when it starts up but then it dies it will do this every few cranks after its hot and there is some pressure built up. It's sounds just like it started but then it dies... I just don't know why it won't stay on.
