No glow

hi all

recently installed my new glow plug harness. work fine however today i noticed when i hop in the truck and turn the key on i have no glow plug light. bulb and fuse in cab are good.

any ideas!!

Check all the fuses, not sure about 94's my 95 has a fuse under the hood that runs the fuel heater, when that shorted it blew that fuse & I had no glows or boost

i dont seem to see any under the hood fuse boxes to check. I was thinkin on it when i removed the wires off the glow plug controller the red ( hot) wire touched something and sparked could i have poped a relay or somthing somewhere. if so where is it located

Fuse panal is in the cab on a 1994 to the left under the steering column.

if thats the only fuse box in the truck i have located it and ensured the 5amp glow fuse is good. i thinking i will drop in a new glow [plug controller and see what happens

yes i can start it take a bunch of cranks due to the lack of glow plug assistance.checked the bulb and the fuse they appear good

Before that you may want to check your new harness installation and see if anything becomes loose after the install.

The other components are the GP controller/relay and the GPs.

For GPs, get some Bosch Duraterms.

Controller is not picky.

i found on my 94 that if ecm detects low ohms to ground it wont energize glows.

94 gmc 1500 with 99 block born 1-13-99, 6.5 td auto trans, 4x4, z71,33x12.5 tires, excab 6' bed, 100,000 on motor 266 on truck. No egr F series intake. Has 4" straight pipe exhaust,2.5" crossover pipe, bosch duraterm glowplugs, pmd relocation with #9 res, custom cold air box, oil pres,trans temp, boost, egt glowshift gauges, b&m trans switch, ho water pump with d-maxx fan and duel t-stats. Tcc mod, high idle mod, glowplug mod hid headlights with black out front lights, hx-35 turbo upgrade using factory vac system, bosch injectors popped to 2300psi, buddy 6-stage chip, B&M deep trans pan.
95 gmc jimmy with cpi, intake and duel exhaust 2" lift, future 6.2 project- 89 6.2 n/a
90 cavalier stock 2.2 over 234000, replaced cluster from a cimarron
71 mustang, 302 headman headers, msd box and distributor, cobra intake, 650 holley, shift kit, alum rad, mach 1 set up, mag 500 wheels
99 s10 zr2 5spd with 6"lift on 33's, black and white- sold
04 duramax excab,sb, 4x4, auto,lly, 348,000 miles, mbrp 4" exhaust no muffler, banks 6gun, arp headstuds, high flow drivers manifold, high idle kit, black 18" wheels.

Great news! turns out i had everything wired correctly. when i put everything back together i over tightened the +lead on the glow plug controller and broke it loose! thanks to everyone who took the time to respond and give me pointers!!
