looking for name of every sensor in block
i am going to be installing new engine from teds trucks and i understand they come as a bare long block no sensors or anything. i would like to install all new sensors in the new block when i do the engine swap. just seems simpler to put all new now on a engine stand vs trying to replace them as they die in the truck. so what i am looking for is the name of every sensor in the block so i can order them before i go to install the new block anyone have this info ? and what else should i be replacing?
also on a side note will a regular cheapie "1500lbs" engine stand hold this beast up? i dont want it coming crashing to the ground.

I only replaced the ones that were a pain to get at - OPS and CPS - the rest were 1-for-1 swapped over from my old block. CTS (both of them) are easy to change out anytime (and not prone to failure, really) so they were of zero concern.
There's not really a lot of them, but OPS and CPS for sure. The crank sensor is a royal pain to change out later if ever need be, but you may find one in the Teds engine as IIRC some people reported they were still installed.

There aren't many sensors in these blocks.
All lifting equipment is underrated - if it says it can handle 1500#, it shouldn't even begin to bend with 3000. My whole truck only weighs 7000 with all the junk I've added & a little cargo.

As for the engine stand, I'd be very careful... I know when we did my rebuild at Racer55's the stand was visibly sagging by the time we completed it in longblock, and it was an oldschool stand that was pretty hardy. See the pics - you can really see the sag in the first pic.

The Balancer itself was realistic, and since it's the critical part I didn't want to cheap out, so I installed a Delco. 5 years later it's still in good shape. The pulley, I went Dorman, and on average it has failed and needed replacement every 12-15 months. If the Delco one wasn't $400+ up here I'd break down and replace it with one, but the price is just shocking.
