Whine from engine
I have read some posts concerning engine whine.My 96 K2500 has a whine that seems to stop right after letting off the throttle.It's like once you let off its right behind.Also when its idling you can hear it very faintly.I can tell you that a new belt does not last but about 8 months and then it will squeak a bit when you first start it up.I topped off the power steering pump so that rules that out.
