gm td scan tech basic obd2?

I'm thinking about buying an android based tablet and would like to use it as a diagnostic tool for the truck in my sig and a couple other OBD2 vehicles. Can anyone describe functionality of the Torque app for an OBD2 6.5 vehicle? What sensors does it display, etc? I currently have an Ipad and the options for apps is slim as usual, so I would like to go the Android route.

Nope. Not on my 96. It may be different for 97-99s/2000s. The adapter and software aren't the problem IMO. I don't thing boost/EGT signals are being sent through the port.

Where do you get the Torque app? I have an android razr. What about the cable? Is that a NAPA item?

Play Store. There are Free and a Paid ($6) versions. I bought the paid version.

You can buy a wired adapter. I didn't bother. I bought the bluetooth Elm 327 adapter from Amazon for $13. It works great.
