Tank Coolant Heater Install....

i just bought a tank type heater for my 94 Suburban 6.5td, k2500 and was wondering the best location to install this.

here is the kit:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/110794144143?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p398 4.m1439.l2649

ebay 110794144143

i have these 1500 watt heaters on both my wrecker and rollback, and these are the best thing since sliced bread!

please advise or post pics if this has been done before. where is the best location for mounting and what hoses would be best to tap into

thanks

You had me half interested until the thought of running coolant lines all the way to the rear. My buddy says his Duramax came with a tank heater. Anyone know how that works?

i will tell ya how it hook up on both my 7.3TD

mounts behind the grill. a hose from the bottom of the radiator goes to the bottom of the tank heater. this is the pump for circulation and also the heating element to make the coolant 180 degree any time it is plugged in. then out the top of the hose it goes into the flow of heater hose. the warm coolant goes into the heater core first, then back out and through the engine, then back into the radiator.

having this unit plugged in and not had the truck running for 3 days, i will tell you that snow will not gather on the bottom of the windshield! the radiator is warm to the touch. NEVER have either one of the trucks not started, this is why i want it on my suburban!

i know the mounting loaction of the pump has to be level with the block, so i think it looks like i might mount this behind the passengers battery tray, im working on it, but not in a hurry!
