Turbo not engaging!

Was driving home the other day and noticed a significant loss of power. Thought maybe the transfer pump or ops went out. Checked them, both good. Then i noticed my turbo wasn't kickin in. That must be the prob. Vaccum pump holds vaccum, hose to waste gate doesnt appear to be cracked. So is the Problem the wastegate solenoid? Is there anything else i should check?
Thanks.

With the engine idling can you force the wastegate lever open, or is the vacuum pot holding it securely?

You need to completely rule out the vacuum system and wastegate itself.

If that all checks out, then check your crossover pipe didn't blow a hole, or one of the donut seals at the manifold didn't fall apart and blow out. Any loss of exhaust integrity pre-turbo will cause the turbo to spool very little, or not at all on the 6.5.

i would say take a look at you're turbo and see how freely it spins, if everything checks out i would fire the rig up. and check how many inches of vacuum the pump pulls.

thanks, I will try all that this week. It needs about 20" of vacuum to operate correctly, right? We'll see what she measures at. Crossover pipe didn't appear to have leaks, but didn't throughly check the donuts very closely, will do tho.
Thanks for advise.
