Which thermostat for 1996 GMC Suburban 6,5 turbodiesel?

Which thermostat will fit to 1996 GMC Suburban 6,5 turbodiesel K1500?
VIN: 1GNGK16F1TJ379641 (model CK10906)

I think there should be two thermostats and I am not sure which one I should buy.

I have to choose from 5 options:

GATES Part # 33889
GATES Part # 33922
ACDELCO Part # 131103
STANT Part # 14399
ACDELCO Part # 13191

Could you help me, please?

Thank you very much.

Ewing

Unless you have upgraded your cooling system, the 96 used a large single thermostat. That's what mine came with. GM went to dual tstats in 97 and up. It's easy to check, just to make sure. The dual tstat models have a much wider fitting to accomodate both in a side-by-side configuration.

ACDELCO Part # 131103
for a single stat unit! If I were you I'd only buy AC/Delco, you'll be glad you did. as the aftermarket units, are not quite right.

Post a pic of your thermostat housing if you aren't sure if it's a single or double stat unit. Some late model 96's did come with the dual thermostats.

Don.

I am using the 1997 Chevy Suburban which for sure have dual t-stat.

It points to ACDelco #131103, so you need 2 of them.

The other ACDelco is for single t-stat.
