how much is my truck worth?

greetings.
I need to buy a heavier truck for work, and I am trying to decide what to ask for mine. Its the truck in my sig. It has 137,000 miles, cloth interior, new tires and a bunch of Heath stuff. It runs like a top and I'd like to keep it but I think dragging 15000 pounds around will destroy it. I can't find any others like it to compare it to. The dealer offered me $5000.00CDN($4100.00US) and I guess I can do better than that privately. If you guys can give me a range, I will start at the middle somewhere.
Thanks

Usually, with a stealer trade-in price you can just double it for a ballpark asking price. Plus, you have mods. But ultimately, it comes down to what the market will support.

Sorry, no pics. I was going to take some on the weekend. All I'm really looking for is a realistic number to put in the truck trader ad.

i guess that dealer did not want to make a sale, a buddy of mine traded in his 95 crewcab dually like yours but was a 2 wheel drive and had over 200,000 miles on it and the ford dealer gave him $10,000 for it and he got to take off all the external accessories he put on it which are now on my 98 crew dually

I'll post some pics on the weekend. Maybe someone on here might be interested.

just to let you know, in the event this all doesn't work out for you, our trucks can handle 15K.

You already have HO injectors, turbomaster, a performance chip and exhaust. Slap on a cooling upgrade from Heath or SSdiesel and that trcuk will be more than able to pull.

Oh, and brakes are important too

Well, I'd like to keep it, but I don't want to keep repairing it as it breaks. I know some guys on here pull big weight from time to time, but I need to do it every day. My brother pulls similar loads with his 1 ton ford and he has done 4 transmissions. I also talked to one of the guys at Heath and they didn't really reccomend it either. I know it will pull. I dragged 24000 pounds home a while back. But a lot of weight every day is going to take a toll.

Not sellable for as much as it's worth - everyone gets on here and
says "it's woth X amount", but they rarely sell for anywhere near that.
Mine has been for sale on and off for over a year, I know it's a good
price, but maybe it's just a bad time to sell? Not desperate, so I'll keep
driving it, not gonna give it away. I'm guessing you'll do good to get
7000.00 US, but I wish you luck.
