Adding 2-stroke oil

I have been looking over all previous posts about adding 2 stroke oil to a tank of fuel. I sometimes use powerservice when i have the money for it all year around. In the winter i try to use it every fill up (religously) but that doesnt always seem to happen. I had a few Q's. Wouldnt one think that the 2-stroke stuff wouldnt mix with the fuel that well? I dont know why but i think all it would do is settle to the bottom? So if it really does mix well what brand should i use? I heard something about twc-3?? How many oz's should i add to a full tank (34gals.)? Its alright to use power service and two stroke right? Please let me know.....

It is 100% soluble, I put it in before I fill up when I am at the pump -
the fuel going in then mixes the oil up for you.
I use Wal-Mart brand (Supertech?) and buy it in the gallon jug,
I use 1 quart per fill up.

x2 except my amount I put in is half an ounce (.5) per gallon of diesel filled up. I think the Wal-Mart stuff is like $10 or so. Much cheaper than Lucas or Power Service diesel treatment.

It will mix. 2-stroke is not like Motor Oil.

Combo with your favorite diesel additive should be fine also.

I run 1 quart supertech 2 stroke and recommended amount of powerservice in every tank works good for me.

Basically to improve lubrication of the injection pump internally due to ultra low sulfur fuels used nowadays.I use power service in the fuel.It seems to do a good job.Actually when you pour it in,it smells identical to the stanadyne formula.

After a ton of reading here I decided to run the following:

tcw-3 2 stroke oil - 1:200 ratio = 16 oz. per 25 gallons
Power Service - 1:400 ratio = 8 oz. per 25 gallons

You can pick your additive, I just use Power Service because its easy to find. The white bottle in the winter (contains anti-gel), gray in the summer.

I bottom line is you need to add something for lubricity, I don't feel the additive alone is enough for our IP's, so to me the 2 stroke is very cheap insurance with no downside. In cold climates I want the winter formula additive (white bottle) for anti-gel protection, again cheap insurance against problems. This is my recommendation for what its worth.
