how hard is it to replace motor mounts on the sub have looked at it but have not lift or cherry picker to pick up the motor and the bolts look like a pin second the local diesel shop quoted me 350 and two days am debating it. I know if i let it go this can cause some alinement problems with the trans and the drive line any help would be appreciated
i have heard you can slip it into drive and holding the brake apply the gas pedal and have someone slip it out. for the other side, putting it in reverse can do it. never done it just heard it can be done that way. Ed
I seen the guy that done it that way, he was missing a few fingers. ;-)
You can lift the engine enough with a floor jack. Find a good spot on an exhaust manifold and use a hunk of 2X4 with the jack. One side at a time. When you get the engine tilted far enough, block the engine with wood so it don't crush your fingers.
