Getting New EPROM

I have figured out that i need a new EPROM for my trcuk. so i was wondering how i could get an eprom for my 95 Chevy 6.5 with an F code instead of an S. The dealership needs either my vin number or the code on the chip to order it. My truck has a S vin, but i have pretty much made the EGR useless by putting a F intake system on with the egr just bolted on top for the electronics to get a sensor of. So how can i get a eprom from them that will eliminate the EGR but not mess anything else up?

Buy one from Bill Heath. Look in the vendors section of the site and look for heath diesel and he will be able to eliminate all codes will egr or the solenoids for the wastegate controller. Since you need a new one why not get one will a little more performance. Call them up they will be happy to talk to you and you can buy from them in confidence.

I actually was in the same boat...I had 230k on my truck and got the Heath MaxETork eprom and made the wastegate controller... Have put about 10k miles on it since then and no problems yet...

By the way...I like the chip, and Heath is amazing... Just so you know.

I got 156K on mine

My 95 has 156k on it. The new eprom will only put more work on it depending on how you drive it. If you beat it yeah maybe. I don't beat my truck and found a nice overall improvement in the way it starts runs and MPG. Heath is the way to go.
