Glow Plug Torque Spec

Pretty easy question I hope.

What is the torque specifications for the glow plugs?

The Haynes manual says something crazy like 125 lbs! Seems those little guys would strip at that torque.

Thanks!

I was basing it on the Chiltons book for the 88-98, the 99 may be different.

Here we go.

Haynes Diesel Manual page 2.2

Glow Plugs:
5.7 = 124 INCH lbs
6.2 and 6.5 = 156 INCH lbs

Scruf Dog great point on the Inch versus Foot lbs!

Thanks guys! your torque values sound much more reasonable.

Once again Haynes proves to be the best information around

Could those be inch torque ratios?
