Project 6_2 lowrider
The crew cab dually didn't pan out so next best a 84 C10 shortie.
Gonna yank the 305/th350 out and drop in a 6.2 /700r4 Lower it 5 inches in the front and 6 in the back. Gonna be a cruiser so it won't be show a quality build. Picked it up for $500 on CL, only shortie I could find for a reasonable price.

That will be one sweet ride and great mpg too. Looking forward to watching the build on this one. If you dont plan to haul much with it you could cut 1 1/4 coils out of the front and pull 2-3 leafs out of the rear to lower it and keep a good ride. I did the same thing to my 86 2wd short box. Had a nice lowered look not slammed and a stock if not better ride still.

Its just one project truck after another with you isn't it? haha Thats Okay its a good thing!
You ought to get some pretty sweet mileage with that thing with the 6.2/700R4 Its too bad about the Crew Cab dually not panning out, I know you've always wanted a slammed CCD, you'll build one yet

That would be sweet. Get the air ride suspension for it and it will ride and handle great too. I looked at it for mine but was out of my price range. Broke is richer than I am lol.

Air ride will be down the road, too much money for right now.
Gonna go with a static drop for now. Flip kit in the back and 2.5 drop spindles + 2.5 inch drop coil springs. I am not totally sold on a air ride setup, most I have seen require cutting the bed floor up for the air bag crossmember and c-notch in the frame.

Thats if you want to go real low and have a caddy ride. You can get by without cutting the bed up. There is a 4 link rear suspension that bolts on inplace of the rear springs for air ride.

An update, I have too many projects between the K20, K30 and C10 I ain't getting a whole lot done.
I try to do a little on each when I have time. So the th350 tranny in this truck isn't working correctly, only way to get it to move is to rev the piss out of and then it will grab and smoke a tire (guess I have a one legger for a rear) So I pulled the pan today and not a lot of fluid came out and no chunks of anything in the bottom of the pan, a little metal flake, couple things on the filter but nothing major. The fluid smells bad and is a dark brown color, I'm thinking before I condemn the tranny I will put a new filter and some fresh fluid in it and see what happens. What do y'all think is it toast?
